I Love Kids Church Resource

I can say many things about this website and I truly mean MANY THINGS, but here is the one word that truly describes what I think about this website... Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! My KidMIN friend, Sheik is the MAN behind this incredible site. Sheik always amazes me with his great talent and creativity. He amazes me so much that I tend to get jealous (not really....well just a lil bit). Every single thing you see in this site, he created. Crazy right? RIGHT! I personally have used and bought many of his resources. One thing I can say is that my kids church loves it! From his digital puppets to awesome illustrations to even making a bottle of ketchup disappear. So what are you waiting for? Go check it out!

Game: Hungry Hungry Hippos (My Version)

So this Sunday we played a crazy fun game that I like to call "Hungry Hungry Hippos". The concept is the same as the game board game except we are using kids and a bigger board. What we did is, have 2 girls versus 2 boys per round. We had a total of 3 rounds so we can have more kids participate in the game. The object of the game is to get as many balls as fast as possible (blind folded: option) to their team bucket. The number of balls that we used were 50 per round. At the end of each round, we added the amount of balls from each bucket to see who won that certain round. One thing I truly know is that my kids LOVEDDDDD this game. It's super easy to make and build, but the cost is a little up there. It all depends on what material you buy and prefer. Here is what I bought and used:

• (2) 1x10x8ft whitewood
• (2) 1x12x12ft whiteboard
• (16) eyelids
• (4) door henge nails
• (50) playballs
• (4) blindfolds if you want

iShine Radio

About once a week I tend to go on "Radio iShine" to see what new artist are out there in today's kids world. If you are like me, you are always looking for NEW UPBEAT music to play during your kids church. What I like to do is, write down the name of the artist and song and look for them in the itunes store or even on youtube. At the same time, kids always bug me for new music. Steal Da Bacon Game

One of our favorite games in kids church is "Steal Da Bacon!". It's a simple game of stealing a inner tube and taking it back to your team. Here is what we do:

1. Separate kids into 2 teams.
2. Number each kid from each team. For instance, Team #1 will have numbers 1-10 and Team #2 will have numbers 1-10 also.
3. We provide 2 inner tubes because it's better than 1, LOL. You can have more than 2 if you like.
4. The ref calls out 2 to 4 numbers, depending on how many inner tubes you have. For instance, if you have 2 inner tubes, you would most likely call out 2 numbers.
5. You can also call out "EVERYONE " or  "ALL" for the whole team to come in and "Steal Da Bacon".
6. Be careful because some kids might get hurt.
7. Have FUN!!
